At least I get a whole year between car tab renewal time.
I get to pay property taxes twice a year. Over 25% of my house payment goes to just property tax.

I used to pay about $5-600 for tabs on my Harley back in the 90's when it was a couple years old. Before Tim Eyeman. A lot of people weren't around or don't remember those days.

It passed because most of us that are opposed to it live outside the the area and didn't get to vote for it.
The $80/10K of value is just for sound transit?

The $80/10K of value is just for sound transit? 1.4% (as of 1 April) of the depreciated MSRP as calculated by the state. Might behoove some of you guys to register as commercial, you get LNNNNNL plates instead of LLLNNNN, that puts you into a lower depreciation bracket, and on top of that, if it's over 6k lbs, as most luxury sedans are, then it makes it exempt from the RTA altogether... http://www.dol.wa.gov/vehicleregistration/rta.htmlhttp://www.dol.wa.gov/vehicleregistrati ... edule.html

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I remember those days and renewed a lot of tabs during that period. We used to call it the "Thirteenh Car Payment of the Year". My wife used to put $50 per month aside just so there was enough to renew two vehicles. Best part was that my Company vehicle was handled by the Corporate Office. That was always the newest vehicle in the driveway so I was glad I didn't have to fork over close to a grand per year for it.
