Thinking about a dash cam for myself and my immediate family members. Looking for any input on the various ones out there....pros and cons. What should I get? |

been using one for about a year or two now.. DO you want one that just does whats in front of you? or one that also has a camera pointing rear into the car out the back? I have one that looks similar to this and you can barely even tell its there.. https://dashboardcamerareviews.com/viofo-a119/ |

I have this one G1W-C (or at least the similar model one) and have been happy with it. Provides good detail in the daytime and night time is still pretty good too. |

I have one made by falcon zero for over a year now. No issues, US based support as far as I know. Great product. |

When you get one, ask your insurance agent if that qualifies you for a discount. Especially if it's a fore/aft model that shows what the driver was doing when the accident occurred. You'd be amazed at what qualifies you for discounts today with some companies. I just got a huge discount on my homeowner's insurance for installing a monitored alarm system. (one with sound/video monitoring capability, cloud storage of video, and alert that comes to my phone where I can see what's going on. Can even answer my front door from the range too ) |

What about a BBG Pro Series? This goes to a brain that you can hide in the car. You can also access it via internal bluetooth when you are near the car to review/download video (means you can REALLY hide the brain). You can upgrade (at order) the camera(s) to their HD2 that has IR/NV. http://blackboxguard.com/professional-series/ We are looking at the Pro2 Series for our new fleet vehicles. |

I have a KDLINKS R100. It attaches to the rear view mirror and also has a rear view camera. I've been happy with it so far. http://www.kdlinks.com/index.php/popula ... -card.html |

I bought a dual camera dash camera recently as my G1W mount had broken. I haven't figured out how I want to mount it yet though as I'm trying to bit suction cup anything to my windshield heat blocking tint. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071YMDK ... ref=plSrch |

I have unlimited data with no throttling threshold, it's a rare plan but certain people can get it. I am looking for something that streams continuously, on the fly, through a smartphone to a remote location where it cannot be deleted, even by the owner. There are video apps for cellphones that do this, there should be a dashcam that leverages this tech too. I need to find it. Thanks for the links, I'll check that company out. |
