Shooter is a remake of the book Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter. It was made popular by Mark Walburg in the film Shooter. This show is... loosely...based on the book, but is set in the PNW with a lot more accuracy on firearms than is typical. I enjoyed it. Fyi, there is only one season though.

I never watched the Walburg movie so it was all new to me which was nice. Cool gun porn. I know it's "based in the PNW" and they showed one view of the Seattle Skyline in the first episode but I never saw a single place I recognized besides that. When showing the city, nothing looked like any part of Seattle I've ever seen.

Shooter is pretty good as a story (obviously going back to early manhunt type stories). But there are some very corny, very silly low points. It's watchable, and yes make it through the first episode.
Don't really appreciate the nutjobs called 2nd Amendment supporters, cheesy fake gun love, certain bullets shouldn't be owned by the public, shooting a bird with a .338Lapua and then holding a whole bird, etc.

Ken Burns: The West.
History of the Western United States going back to the 1500's. Very interesting.

My wife and I are way late to the party but we're really enjoying Shameless right now. F is for Family is cool too if you like animated adult comedy stuff. Bill Burr is a funny fuck.

Also one of the ranges they used is a range I used to go to. A Place to Shoot

It stars Eric McCormack, best known as Will from "Will and Grace". It takes a LOT of getting used to to see him in something that's not a homosexual sitcom. I felt a lot like I did when Criminal Minds first came out, starring Thomas Gibson from "Dharma and Greg". But once you get past that, it's a damn good show! Keeps you guessing. And the female lead is pretty smokin'. Watched the first 3 last night. OK I wasn't wearing my hat right, and my wife was really fighting it. BUT we both were able to suspend all belief in what we call reality. It got much better after that. Really hard to do that when they say things like "At the peril of our birth". Then explain it by saying that if they succeed, they will never be born. Paradox. Basically they are saying right there, that they are not going to succeed. Because... If they succeed they will never be born. If they are never born, they can't come back and try. They came back and tried. Ergo, they never succeeded...

I must have been under a rock the last half year as I had no idea there was a new season on the way. Will look forward to it as this has been one of my favorite shows in a long time.
