Sorry...had to...too easy... C'mon, wordsmith; "more difficult to see" might have been a better choice of words.

Was shooting some of my guns yesterday, and RSO showed me this 9x19 case with moderate ID.

I wonder why they do this. Technologically it’s more complex. Also, requires more material. Cheaper, softer alloy?

Gives a shelf to push the bullet down against . . . maybe? These cases are similar, but the Maxxtech is even more pronounced: viewtopic.php?f=74&t=32729.

I wonder if this is a 'self defense' round case --- it could be to keep the boolit from 'deep seating' itself from repeated chamberings (I forget the proper term... bullet setback?). I could see that as being a nice feature from a 'premium' or LE defense round.

Of the ten voices I hear in my head, only three keep telling me NOT to shoot.... Do I go with the majority or common sense?

The comments are hilarious.
I remember my old man getting the Russian 'catalog' sometime in the 90s after the Iron Curtain fell. He swore he never ordered it, but it was easy to get on lists like that even then. I was probably in HS at that time and would poke fun. "Hey Dad, Svetlana looks pretty hot!" He didn't need it, he was in some region-wide divorced singles group...more baggage at those meetings than the conveyors at Sea-Tac, but it worked.
