My sons eyes went wide open when he heard only 74 people in the entire Boy Scouts have ever earned it. So we never told him no. Every camp out he wanted to go one he went. Every high adventure event he was on. 4 50 Mile hiking trips(counting the one he starts Sunday in Northern Cascades). 5 50+ mile kayak trips(two in the same year back to back). Numerous day hikes and 30 milers. More service hours than anyone in the troop and 200+ nights of camping. He just finished his mile swim for the aquatics segment and e-prep.
Now there are 300 scouts who have earned them in the entire world and my son is the first in Chief Seattle(probably the entire state).
To say I'm proud is an understatement. He, along with many of our scouts, are the Outdoor Leaders of tomorrow.
I feel fortunate to help him and many of our youth achieve their dreams. Not only in being Outdoor leaders but just all around good people.
Proud papa. Damn . . . okay, that's really impressive.

Proud papa. Congratulations to your son and if he hasn't already made Eagle then I wish him luck on finishing that journey.

After that accomplishment I think we can just close this thread. I don't think we can top that. Well done!

So maintenance is SUPPOSEDLY going to finish my bathroom today - texture and paint. My little bird can't be home for that because of the fumes, so I have her with me at work today. So thankful to work for a place where, in an emergency, I can do that! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Amazon prime. Had some random stuff in my cart for a few weeks, today ordered a pair of batteries for some cordless yard tools. Free shipping, all of it showed up at my door in about 5 hours. Can't beat that.

Listed my 97 Camry on offerup when I got home from work. Exactly 31 minutes later it was driving away and I had $1800 in my hand.
Not a bad way to end the day
