Scored a solid workbench for free on Craigslist. It's in great condition, too. My other one was getting too crowded, so now I have plenty of work space again.

Signed initial closing edocuments yesterday. Turned in our down payment cashier's check today. On track to close and get keys on Thursday.

I know most of us have chimed in before but it deserves a double take. Congrats on your new home and being responsible for your family. Best wishes to your family in your new digs this Christmas.

Thanks. I know I keep posting about this, but each new hurdle brings us a little closer to our first home, and now it's seriously in grabbing distance. This is a HUGE thing for us. Do expect a post again on Thursday when we get the keys lol Also, making this move puts us outside of the ST3 kerfuffle, just in time for my tabs to be renewed TAKE THAT, BLOODSUCKERS!

Watching the AL Senate race results.
I predict a serious flow of Libturd tears. Consult your local weather report for flood warnings.

Your first home is a big deal. One of those innocuous things that someone tells you in passing, had a huge affect on me. I had been told by a realtor that at that time the average age of first time buyers was 27. I did my damndest to beat it. I squeeked in under that. I have since sold that place and moved on for the better. I told you that, to say, this is just a step, but a very important one. One that you will remember always and have a profound and hopefully positive effect on you and your family. Good luck to you and your family in this adventure. Ps. Hope you are handy.

RAM mounts are some of the best, if not the best, mounting solutions out there....

Why do you mount it to the windshield? I put mine at the cup holder level out of sight. I guess I can’t stand stuff on my windshield.

Because I use my cup holders Honestly though there is not any usable mounting surfaces on the new 4runners. The corner of the windshield was the best option.
