I did a ride-along with our local police last night. Had an awesome time. Got to talk guns - most of the officers I've done ride-alongs with are total gun nuts. Surprisingly, they allow me to carry during the ride-along. Chief is a strong CCW proponent, and he allows it as long as it's OK with the officer. None of the officers have asked me to not carry in my town. Other jurisdictions have had me unpack, though.
Every ride-along I've done has been dead quiet. I joked that "for a quiet night, call Beth at ...." |
