There's a train bridge in Kent that I had to go under with an armored truck all the time, if the vents were up on the roof they would hit. There were lots of vent covers on the road, a guy from the tow yard by it noticed what was going on and one day came out running to the truck with a bunch of them for us. We went back and gave them all to our stupid ass boss just to watch him lose his shit.

Way to go Reid. Nice digs. Merry Christmas to your family as you settle into your place My wife found that Academy is selling Walther PPS Gen2 9mm pistols for $299 now till this next Tuesday. Screaming deal on a pistol that normally goes for $450+. So we headed down to our local Academy store, a grueling drive of roughly 1.5 miles and adopted a sad, homeless PPS which had been forced to live in horrifying conditions for most of it's life in a small glass cage. Breaks the heart to think of so many pistols forced to live in these kind of conditions The buying experience was typical big box store. Wait in a long line, short time to evaluate the gun and complete purchase, all their guns had trigger locks, then a long wait for them to complete paperwork. Then another line at the check out counter. I far prefer patronizing small, locally owned brick and mortar establishments but we couldn't pass up that deal. The nice thing is that the sale did not have to go through NICS since I just received my Tejas Handgun License earlier this week. Good thing since NICS was down while we are completing our purchase. So my wife has acquired a Walther PPQ Gen1 (she likes the European style paddle release) and a PPS Gen 2 for carry in the span of 2 days. She's all set for training courses and carry. Sweet.

Getting a check for $50 from American Eagle. I was only expecting $40 since I sold 200 rounds before I got to the UPC's.

The YL has informed me that she internal position she interviewed for last week was a success. She's being promoted! More money, and a take home car. I'm so proud of her!
