Last year I had surgery and didn't poop for a week after, got to the point where I was feeling like I was sitting on a baseball, i started taking laxative, nothing happened. So the next day I say fuck it and took 3 times the dose, nothing. 5hen it starts feeling like I'm trying to shove a fence post with a spike up the poop chute, I'm in tears and can't sit so I go to the Dr. So there I am with a man scooping nasty ass 9 day old poop out of me for 15 minutes, I feel my insides move a little and the pressure had eased up a little so I tell him I'm going to try to go poop. I hobble my kinda gay feeling ass over to the shitter and let loose. I felt like a sasauge machine cranked up to 11, I'm flushing the toilet like crazy because I have no clue how much is coming out but it feels like id fill the bowl. I finish up and now I'm sweating like crazy and feel great. I come out of the bathroom and look up to an almost filled lobby that is dead quiet, the wife looked at me like ohhh fuck dude and I got a clap from a younger guy. I didn't realize I had made loud ass poop noises and groans. Well ok that ended up being a story about my craziest poop. Sorry

Antibiotics and pain relievers can cause constipation (even ibuprofen). Anasthesia can have a dehydrating effect.

A stool softener is better than a laxative. A laxative makes you go, but if you're blocked...no go. A stool softener just softens things, and helps you go when it's time to go.

After surgery, or when taking the above meds, just take a tiny gel capsule stool softener 2 or 3 times a day.

Sick pretty much all last week (so called walking pneumonia). Never had anything like it. Dregs remain, it's messed up. Didn't have the flu or cold to start or anything, just started feeling weak and listless right before Christmas. Anyway not pissed about that, it is what it is now. But I did a lot of Netflix watching..........4 whole seasons of "Life Below Zero°" and the way the Sue talks way north drives me nuts. Yeah she has the most guns.....but for an isolated person who can't stand people, I swear she says "I" and "me" and "my" more than Obama. I guess it doesn't piss me off, I watch the show for the bush craft stuff, the hunting, the guns but when her segment comes on, it's sound off, or get up or take a nap. She goes from reading the manual to expert in a couple hours. In general when the people get really pissed in the show (thread theme) it's pretty much because of their own doing!
