Never know. They told us in 1969 that everyone in the US would be using the metric system in 3 years.

I have a rotary phone in my shop too but it's not hooked up. My plan is to wire a Bluetooth headset into it so it will work with my iPhone. Figured it will be a good conversation piece when I plop it down on the bar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You can still use a radio to make a phone call if the repeater is setup for it.

I used to work as a comm tech back in the day. Was working in the basement of a downtown Seattle department store. Trying to determine which line went to what. Some were for outside pay phones. Hooked up my butt set on a line and asked the telco operator what the number was. She said " I can't tell you that". I told her "Well, I'm gonna cut the line now and make sure the guy you send out writes it down on the block when he gets here."
The old telco phones were the best ever made. They charged about $3/mo for them as a lease and if they failed, had to send a guy out to replace. Had to be reliable. Some were problem free for 30+ years.

Lady in front of me at the checkout line owed $15.01 She didn't have a penny, so the cashier started counting out 99 cents in change. I said "I have a penny" and gave her one. Can't let someone slide for a penny???
I went to a Wendys in S Carolina, burger was $2.26 Gave the guy $5.26 After thinking for awhile he gave me back 2 ones and $1.00 in coins.
Went to Microsoft and ordered a burger at one of the cafeterias. $8.49 including tax, and I gave him an $8 meal voucher and a dollar. He actually pulled out a small piece of paper and a pencil and subtracted 8.49 from 9.00 Only took 15 seconds.
No way any of these people are worth $15/hr.

Got a call at 3am this morning from my work alarm company saying there was a break in happening through one of my roll up doors. After a few phone calls and a trip down to work, turns out the janitor forgot to latch the door when they were emptying the trash last night. A slight gust of wind came through and blew it open.
Awesome

Eye doc imaged my eye weeks ago, found an irregularity and showed it to me, explaining why I had a spot in my vision and referred me to a specialist....
Fucking 'specialist' took 30 seconds and says 'nope, nothing wrong'....I asked her about the imaging and the abnormality and she said both eyes were identical...Basically called me a liar, then said it was basically PTSD that the eye was reacting to stress..
WTF BS is this....Explain how there was an anomaly that was visible in the eye, and only that eye, but 'nothing is wrong'...
