I’m tired of wobbly tripods! I’m looking for something sturdy with a head that won’t be jiggling around while I’m trying to focus the scope. Any suggestions?

Most photo tripods will work with the screw on base.

Can be had for $

Try looking at Goodwill or pawnshops for cheap.

Went to goodwill’s online shopping and found a heavy duty tripod for a total price of $64.00. I’ll update after it arrives. There’s a lot of stuff on that site!

I used to regularly hit the Goodwill at 128th & Meridian when I worked close by. Place was a gold mine. I'm wearing a shirt I got there.

Anyway, I found a very beefy tripod that appears to me for equipment of some kind, has the standard screw, etc. Paid 10 bucks for it.

We use it for our spotting scope, and I have mounted a rifle and shot with it as well.

That online price sounds steep. Never looked at their stuff online.

My FIL is an amateur nature photographer and his tripod setup (no camera) is more than 2-3 guns. He hikes and does overnight nature shots so weight and stability is highest priority.

I got the tripod from goodwill finds.org the other day . I must say, it’s much more stable than any other tripod I’ve had! I set it up on the deck and moved it around, zoomed in on a few things and like what it does.
