I wonder if the 24 month exemption helps speed up trust submissions. I really want that new Rugged Surge X, but not going to file individual. Not sure I'm ready to drop that cash yet either, but I do wonder when trusts will be quick.

I am seeing a few SS single shot trusts being approved in 4 months.

Everyone's prints are submitted digitally. I don't own a scanner though. There's options available.

There are others I'm just not sold on the 3d printed guts of them.

Here's dates for an approved Form 4 that I got today. This person received two approvals today and both were submitted using the same trust on the same day.

Here's my thoughts....

ATF has been challenged recently on multiple NFA fronts, including suppressors.

Part of the argument has been that ATF takes 12-18 months, and a delay is a denial of rights.

Currently, they're arguing that suppressors aren't firearms and are not covered by 2A.

How much you wanna bet their next argument would be 'even if they are firearms, a couple day delay isn't a denial of rights', and they pull up the last 2-3 months of approval times and say 'See, 90% of our approvals are within 1 week, that's not unreasonable', then go right back to the same BS once the heat is off?

I have zero faith that they're doing this out of the kindness of their hearts.. It's being done for a specific reason - we just need to find out what that reason is.

Interesting that I can get a can approval quicker than a standard rifle, pistol or shotgun here in WA thanks to the bullshit, do nothing to curb crime, waiting period of 10 days aka 2 weeks. Like TW said, I really want to know the ulterior motive behind the incredibly (suspicious) wait times on NFA forms.
