It might just be easier to sell it as it is now.

That's a decent amount of work. He could drop it off at a shop and not see the car again for a year. Then will he get that much more than the $6,000 he just spent?

Well, thats what I said. But it’s his car/money/problem.

The big question there is: is it drivable? If it's not drivable it's probably money well spent.

Probably not drivable looking at the parts install list. But it sounds like its not a complete basket case

I agree. Also that list can be chopped if it needed to become drivable.

And the age of that car should make getting it running very easy.

That's the way it will be then.

Update. This is a 69 Chevelle Malibu, with a 350 engine. Guy says he wants 27K as is.

He's dreaming from the description of the current condition. If it was running and driving needing body work, paint and other work? He's still dreaming.

Get some pics Ray, I need to see that thing.

I think I have done my part for this guy, and I’m just going to bow out from any further involvement. Thank you everybody for all the help!

Car needs instrument panel and steering column, wiring, complete interior. Parts are inside car. Does, have bumpers and front clip but those need installed, too. I was told, engine and auto trans have been freshly rebuilt. Glass looks good. Paint is fair. Body looks straight. Nice dark blue color. Was told it,was originally a New York car. Frame has been painted. This guy is the second owner.

Front of the frame looks clean for a NY car.

There is definitely a lot of potential there. Especially if the frame looks that good all the way back AND the body is rust free and/or repaired.

But as is for $25?

Is everything there to complete it? Doesn't need anymore paint work or buffing of chrome, etc?

He probably has a $25-35 car when completed. It looks good from the pictures you posted.

He's probably closer to the $15.
