Very sorry to hear this.
Met him a couple years ago on a transaction. Seemed like one of the good ones.
Sad to hear.

Dammit, what a shitty weekend. I lost another friend on Saturday as well
Preaching to the choir here but Jim was a really good guy, going to miss him and his updates on the vagine neighbor

Touched bases with him a week ago after it was mentioned he hadn’t been on in a while. Really sad news, Jim was a great guy!
He was an outstanding mechanic, great shooter and just a really friendly guy. A couple years back we dropped off a truck to get worked on as we were on our way to the ocean for a week. Jim went digging and found a kite he gave to my son to fly at the beach.
I’ll miss his stories about the dbag neighbor behind him and his general good presence here on the boards.
RIP brother, you will be missed!

The first time I met Jim I went to a competition at WCA. We shot in many competitions together for 5-6 years after that. He was a enthusiastic competitor, and always committed to improving. He was always fun to be around, just a great guy. RIP Jim, you will be missed.

Well, shit. Seems like everyone I know are passing on from the big C. Bought a cheap pistol from Jim a couple years back, that has now become a piece of history, much like the others who's prior owners have passed them to me before leaving us all behind. He'll be picking Smokey Yunik's brain and rubbing elbows with Carrol Shelby before we know it.

One time I was facilitating a deal that involved Jim. I don't remember why but the other party didn't know him. He had either left the gun with me or left cash with me for the other party. The person, "Do you know him, is he a good guy?". I responded with, "I trust him with my life. He does my brakes." and I motioned at my truck. He understood my point.

I'm extremely grateful to him, for getting my sleeper rod together and running like a champ. I still don't know how fast the thing will go. Burns rubber pretty good though.
I'm sad that he won't enjoy the riches that his Shelby would get him, as that was his retirement.
This is news that I didn't want to read today.
That he was an all-around good guy is putting it mildly.
