One of my Major bucket list Items has been an old school Hot rod, and I checked that one off the list today. After the Scooter fiasco, I think I got my Man card back. 1973 Pro Street SS Nova. Tubbed with 31x18.5" rear tires, FAB 9 rear end that is 4 linked. LS1 383 Stroker all Aluminum and with a carb instead of injection. Turbo 400 with 2800 stall, sub framed 4-Link rear suspension Car with full cage. Very streetable, but still very fast. I maaay have left a little rubber on a couple streets on the drive home from Birch bay today. Yep, all the way from birch bay. Car has 3:50 rear gears with an extra 456 Spool Pumpkin too. Never ran over 180 degrees on the way down, even in stop and go traffic. I'm very happy with this Car. I went straight to the Binford Car show and it got a lot of attention, pics, videos, questions etc. It was a great day for me! Here's a couple pics, I'll add some more tomorrow.

I did get rid of one of the Scooter's today, the Wife's oldest son in Mt Vernon got the blue one and I dropped it off on the way. He does have a "Man Bun", so I guess it was fitting for him. I still have the other one though, it will make a great "Pit bike".

Turbo 400 with 2800 stall, sub framed Ladder bar Car with full cage. I don't know what the fuck any of that means, and I'm good with that. But the car sure is pretty!!!!

I'm not a REAL engineer. I'm a Payloads Configurator. Whatever the hell that means.

That looks like fun.
I missed the era of Pro Street Cars in the 80-90s. Was so cool.
Congrats. Let me know if you wanna drag race your car and scooter. I'll be the bigger man and drive the car for you. lol

What's the gizmo mounted on the right hand side of the firewall just aft of the air cleaner - tube comes up from below terminating in a handle looking thing? Is that the flux capacitor control?
