Good times cruising the Nova today, still breaking in the new Motor. I leaned on it a bit, had some guy in a hopped up 5.0 Mustang get spunky at a light. I was just cruising leaving the light and he sent it.
We weren't even across the Intersection, and I was already in 3rd with the 4:56 rear gears (I was in Drive). I dropped the hammer and the tires lit up when it dropped to 1st. I had to peddle it and I passed him when it shifted 2nd gear with the rear tires spinning and a bit crossed up while still peddling it. It was like I was 18 again with a Hotrod back in the day, that was fun. I'm a long way from 18 though, and I probably shouldn't have done that. I hardly broke 40 mph though and that was the Limit. With the weather, it will be back out tomorrow.
