DO NOT CLEAN THE BARREL WITH ANY TYPE OF LIQUID!

Dry patches only.

"Pellet gun helpful lessons learned"?

Um, here's a tip, from experience. If you develop enough accuracy...
Yes, a loose .22lr cartridge lying on a handrail can be set off by a BB. :facepalm2:
No, don't try this with Mama's big picture window behind you.

As a kid, don't shoot your brother in the ass unless you have needle nosed pliers and lots of bandaids to perform surgery so the parents don't find out, and take all your shit away from you.

While these are Airsoft Co2 pistols, they are blowback and shoot around 345fps for gaming or backyard fun. I bought a couple for my son and i, good fun in the backyard and a bit safer in an neighborhood setting.
I got the black ones, that's a great deal at 79 bucks, they are well made.

Thanks everyone...

This is yet another new gun variant thing.... My dabbling into a new realm of somewhat gun related stuff.

Here’s a short recap:

So temperature effects pressure on CO2
Use oil to prevent valve issues.
Don’t let canisters sit in gun for storage.
When removing canisters watch your fingers - may get a little frost bite.
Make sure CO2 is really empty before removing.

Don’t shoot people... never a good idea.

And Oh these are pellets more than BBs.

Anything else?

This was about the time I started to teach my boys: We eat what we kill. Don’t make me feed you a Bluejay or Crow...

I dunno, we kept trying to get our BB guns to 'diesel' with a squirt of WD-40 but were unsuccessful.

Maybe a little louder but not the explosion we had hoped for.

Bluejay's not so bad, really. Taste like chicken.
We always taught our boys: you shoot it, you eat it. We had a problem with jays finding the turkey eggs before we did. "Had". Either save them in the freezer till you get enough for pie, or just toss the meat in the chicken soup.

No crow, though. Them chasing off the eagles and hawks, helps protect our chicks. And their carrion diet not so good for people...

This.

Also I made some cardboard box "traps", seemed to keep rebounds to a minimum. We started with single shot pellets and my daughter saw how many layers the pellets would cut through, she's logical enough to figure it out from there.
