Submitted a trust form 4 last week.

Can inventory is definitely sparse right now and there is no incentive for sales to push when the atfs evil plans are doing the selling for them. Silencershop F3s are taking forever to ship from them. Best bet is to buy from another dealer who has it in stock - actual form 3 times are very quick.
What has your experience been with Silencer Shop shipping times? They haven't been delaying any shipments to me.

I ordered from a different dealer to my powered by dealer and it only took a few days to get the eform submitted. Long wait times posted on the /nfa /silencershop subs so I am just parroting that.
Gotcha. I have seen some dealer complaining about shipping times but, I think they aren't being forth coming with all aspect of shipment delays.
If a dealer has their account set for 30 day terms, Silencer Shop won't ship until that invoice(s) is paid. If a customer orders from silencer shop and doesn't get their tax stamp paid for and paperwork in order, Silencer Shop won't ship. For those reasons I have my account set for taking drafting money ASAP and when placing orders I often just use a credit card for immediate payment, just depends on how or what I need to order based on a few factors.

Conversely, I ordered a suppressor from Bowers on a Friday morning, they mailed it on Monday and then said asked me for to mail a check or call with a credit card, I had it in my hand on Wednesday.

Ya can Inventory has definitely become a problem, I spent a few days scouring the web and local SOT's for tbac cans. The one possible I found was on a site with a poor reputation which seams semi well earned. I found the owner on thesnipershide and asked if it was actually in stock..... surprise, it wasn't. Which brings me to the good news bad news part of the story. The good news was one of tbacs listed dealers actually had a black fly9 in stock, and another had the 22 takedown can which I snapped up as soon as I had confirmation of being in stock. The bad news or at least the news I feel someway bad about is I had them sent to dealer closer to me instead of Dana. Dana you've been a great resource and very helpful. But it boiled down to convince, I don't want to drive to Tacoma, sorry man. But for anyone near him or willing to make the drive, don't hesitate to buy from him.

The other part of bad news for us north end guys is I heard from Josh of Pacific armament company. He is completely out of the game both as an ffl and as a SOT.

This article is worth a read... https://www.silencershop.com/blog/post/eform-4-wait-times

But the big take away for me was this:

"If you're looking at the NFA Wait Time Tracker, it will appear that trusts are taking longer than individuals, but this is due to how ATF implemented these changes. The agency cleared the backlog of individual applications before updating this new process, but the same still needs to be done for trusts.
So, while we consistently see trust applications approved in a few days, the average appears higher as all of the older applications are being approved. Trust applications submitted after this process change, around March 15th, 2024, seem to be processing very quickly.
The Deputy Assistant Director also added, "If you're a trust applicant and you're waiting on this, you shouldn't be waiting much longer."

So, why hasn't everyone settled on ONE serial number for all their form 1 cans... I mean... seriously... imagine if half the people here decided to form 1, and serialized it as FUCKATF.

They'd run a serial and it'd come back to 5000 people.

#maliciouscompliance

Even better if it was a standardized design, like an oil filter adapter with 1/2x28 threads. They would all look damn near identical.

Every manufacturer would have to have the same name/trust name.

19 hours? At this level, what is even the point of the NFA Form X process? Just run a NICS and give the buyer a can! Repeal the NFA

If only we had access to NICS.
