Woman orders a nothing burger from McDonald's via Uber Eats, literally.

Wife and I bought our "last" new 4runner. Hoping this one gets us to the nursing home in 25 years.
She's happy. And we got our grocery getter rig. Sold our 2010 4runner with 210k miles .

Put it up on the lift and added after market slide rails.

And a Yakima cargo carrier for golf clubs when visiting our boys in Western Wa.
You know what else our day? NO SALES TAX and paying CASH as retirees for all our new purchases.

Sweet ride. Love that color

There was a glitch at the ordering kiosks in Australia - Adding an extra patty was something like $1.10, so subtracting the patty would also subtract $1.10, but the burger was only $1, so you could order 10 burgers with no patty and it would offset the one burger you got with a patty and it was 0 cents.

Went to the Colonoscopy Spa this morning and a clean bill of health. Instead of every 5 years, the Anusologist said not to come back for 10 years.
The doc intimidated me initially, he looked like Grizzly Adams but he had a Red/White/Blue surgical cap that helped my confidence level before succumbing to anesthesia. Strangest thing though, when I woke up I had this fur like substance in my mouth, bear hair? Then I heard the worst 3 words you can hear from a nurse in recovery...."Who was that?!"

Woot!

Other news, wife got a new 2024 4Runner SE5 Premium for her upcoming birthday (she'll be 60 April 29th)
I added the sidesteps (rockers, sliders, whatever ya call em) and a Cargo carrier for our golf clubs when we visit WA state, which ironically comes up next Tuesday!

I got lucky, my Dr (a stone cold fox) was driving the scope that day, before I zonked out I told her to be gentle this is my first time. Last thing I remember was her and the anesthesiologist laughing softly. :rofl9:

Nice ride!!! :thumbsup2:

My day, week, month, year..... just getting back from a family reunion.... its been 10 years since mom has had all five of her kids with her at the same time! Mom and dad just had their 69th anniversary last month, dad's 92nd bday is next week and mom's 90th is next week --- we basically had to pick a time that worked for all of us, but mainly scheduling around my brother's treatments. What a BLAST!!!! Mom was soooooo happy!!!! Dad was so happy to show off his family at the retirement home -- we made a spectacle of ourselves -- five siblings that ALL get along with no animosity or strife between any ---- Dad says that is 'very rare and uncommon' from what he sees and hears in the home. We always knew our family was not 'normal' over the last several decades.

Google fired 28 employees that conducted the "takeover" of boss's offices. That brought a smile to my morning.

All for-profit companies (publicly traded or not) that support leftist causes can only hide their hypocrisy so well and for so long. And that hypocrisy is built-in, there's no way around it. The Left is incompatible with free market capitalism, oil and water. You can shake the salad dressing, but watch for a bit and things will settle out every time.

To borrow from both the Hollywood classic Mr. Deeds (the newer one --- tongue in cheek) and the late Golda Meir, you'll have to get them to start hating money more than they love being part of the cause, which in history has never happened with a company as powerful as Google.

Picked up an M18 Fuel circular saw.

Figured a good test would be to cut down the rest the rear roll up door of the van body I'm working on... you know, one of these...

Panels are about 3/4" thick.

Decided that I'd start with a plunge cut to see how it reacted.

Virtually zero resistance.. Just sliced right through it and kept going.

Figured, well, 3/4" isn't really that thick.... and there's a 8" railroad tie next to it, so lets see how it does when the blade doesn't make it all the way through... another plunge cut... just drops right in, barrels its way through the railroad tie without slowing down. As fast as I'm pushing, it just keeps cutting.

This is gonna be fun..

Now I get to try out the metal cutting blade I bought.

Watch out! (some) Railroad ties have metal embedded in them to keep them from splitting, and other random metal inclusions.

It’s not easy being retired, boredom sometimes strikes.
So today I accepted a job offer from Sportsman’s Warehouse.
Managing the hunting & fishing departments here in Sequim.
Yes, I’ll get discounts on firearms, magazines & ammo. :thumbsup2:
Decent rate of pay so more toys to be had in the future!
