They are not a vendor here, they pay us no $ (anymore). They have a section that can be used as a great tool to communicate with them though.

I'll give 'em credit for having the balls to show up and announce their plan. I *think* they honestly think they're trying to help gun owners. But bringing out their own half-cocked (pun intended) delusional scheme doesn't necessarily give them a pass. They shouldn't have shit in their food dish. Good luck drumming up business now!

No I hope they stay. It will be fun to see a perfect example of a company putting itself out of business due to piss poor decision making.

If Mr Cazes really thinks that then he is massively ignorant about the political history surrounding the business of guns in America. How many politicians and activists have to come out and admit that their real goal is the eventual eradication of guns in this country before we fucking believe them? :gibbs: He very obviously didn't understand when Lars Larson spelled out for him that if he decided to categorically deny selling long guns to legally eligible 18-20 year old citizens he would be violating Washington's anti-discrimination laws. In addition he very obviously didn't care to understand. This showed me that he is incapable of critical thought when presented with a fact or idea that conflicts with his opinions or beliefs.

Furthermore, It was supremely arrogant for a person so obviously ignorant or dismissive of the political history of firearms in America to unilaterally assume for himself the role of deal-broker to the anti-gunners on our behalf. To make it worse he chose to do it after a tragedy; which tells me he made the decision at least in part based upon emotions.

"Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm -- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves." – T.S. Eliot

"The right of self defence is the first law of nature: in most governments it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within the narrowest limits possible. Wherever standing armies are kept up, and the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any colour or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction." - St. George Tucker

A careful definition of words would destroy half the agenda of the political left and scrutinizing evidence would destroy the other half. - Thomas Sowell

"To ban guns because criminals use them is to tell the innocent and law-abiding that their rights and liberties depend not on their own conduct, but on the conduct of the guilty and the lawless, and that the law will permit them to have only such rights and liberties as the lawless will allow...

For society does not control crime, ever, by forcing the law-abiding to accommodate themselves to the expected behavior of criminals. Society controls crime by forcing the criminals to accommodate themselves to the expected behavior of the law-abiding." - Jeff Snyder

Personal weapons are what raised mankind out of the mud, and the rifle is the queen of personal weapons. The possession of a good rifle, as well as the skill to use it well, truly makes a man the monarch of all he surveys. It realizes the ancient dream of the Jovian thunderbolt, and as such it is the embodiment of personal power. For this reason it exercises a curious influence over the minds of most men, and in its best examples it constitutes an object of affection unmatched by any other inanimate object.

I guess I was just trying to be a little generous and give him the benefit of the doubt. Doesn't mean I'll ever pay him a cent though. And I've paid a lot of cents for gun stuff over the years!

I vote no. He has the right to be wrong and to express himself. As long as he understands what's at risk, and who pays the price, that's what we are all about. First Amendment, Second Amendment, no difference.

I realize that this is not a classic public forum, you know, like a modern college campus where all views are welcome, but as long as he has not violated a forum rule or policy let the debate continue.
