Just recently, quite out of the blue, every time I come in here now, I see the full mode screen for an instant, then it automatically switches itself to mobile mode.

I have to then wait a second, and choose to go back to full mode.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Or perhaps the server is slow to pick up on that you are using a mobile browser.

I don't know jack, but I suspect that when Dan gets here he'll say something like, "Go to the main page, then go to the lower left corner of the screen and click on 'Delete all board cookies.'" Then try again.

I am not using a mobile browser. I am on a desktop computer.

I guess I need to use a lot more words, to say the same thing I said in the OP. LOL

I click the bookmark to get here, as always. The site comes up, as always. Lasts for a split second, then switches itself to the mobile version. (Which it never did before, and only recently has started doing.) I then have to wait a second or so. Then up comes the option to "switch to full mode". I click that, and I am back in full mode for the duration of the visit.

I was already suspecting it would be something that simple. I'll try it.

Don't thank me 'til you've confirmed that I didn't cause you some great hassle. It's quite possible.

You didn't say if you were mobile or desktop, so I had a fifty/fifty chance of guessing which mode was irritating you.

I went back and read again. Seemed clear to me, the first time I re-read it. Then when I read your reply, and went and read it again, I understood the misunderstanding. Yup. Should have made it clear in the OP that I am on a desktop.

Still happens every time I close the browser, then open it again.

I tried disabling cookies, completely, after removing all the cookies. Found out it is only the cookies that are keeping it in full mode, once I make the initial switch.

IOW: If I close the browser, then open it again, then come back here again, it is full mode for a split second, then switches itself to mobile mode.

If I wait long enough for that to finish loading, then I can switch back to full mode.

If I don't close the browser again, it will stay in full mode for the duration. But only if I am allowing cookies, and I log in.

If I don't allow cookies, I can sit here all day, switching it back to full mode every time I open a thread, or do anything else, that changes the page.

Does it do it when you go to other websites?
