I recently started using a MacBook Air as my EDC (Every Day Computer). One thing that annoyed me was that my bookmark icons were rather.. Blah.
They looked like this:
So, I decided to spice up all of our "favicons" which are the small logo images that browsers and OS's pull from the site. Now , it looks like this;
If you are still seeing the old, plain image, you need to go to your finder/go and browse to ~/Library/Safari/Touch Icons . Close Safari and Delete all the image files inside Touch Icons. Then reopen Safari and the images will repopulate.
These icon additions will also update bookmarks you have on other mobile devices, tablets and the upcoming Win10. For non iOS devices, just a good ol CTRL+F5 should update the icons.
