Some companies firewalls and IT people think that you shouldn't be surfing firearm related websites while at work. Well, to me, that is just plain unacceptable.
The Company I retired from tried that crap too. Just about everything outside the company was blocked by the firewall.
For some dumb reason they didn't block AOL though. I just kept an AOL account, logged in through the network, and went anywhere I pleased. Even turned the monthly AOL subscription in on my Expense Report. Told my "boss" it was for the research I had to do.
I remember King County used a firewall that blocked everything, but I found a way around it! It was called "Bernard Security" and the logo was a Saint Bernard dog, so I "Fooled the Guard dog"!
