I have disabled Tapatalk due to some pretty severe glitches. I hope to have this all resolved by mid week and have it back up and running.

I know TT is an important feature for a lot of our members, so we apologize for the inconvenience. TT's latest update just doesn't work.

I'll keep this thread updated as I know/do more.

:angryfire:

The sad thing is a lot of forums refuse to use TT at all because of security issues and problems like this (they simply aren't willing to deal with the errors or risk being hacked via one of the security flaws)...which begs the question - why hasn't anyone else stepped in to make a better app?

Because more and more people are carrying phones and tablets that have the raw computing power of a low end computer system, and mobile software has greatly improved to keep up with these modern devices?

As such, there should be MORE competition to build a better app - not less. Don't get me wrong - TT isn't even that good from a UX perspective. If someone could make something that addresses the admin issues and delivers a better experience to the consumer - they would become very very wealthy.

I'm saying that websites themselves are good enough at presenting a mobile interface and view, that a third party overlay isn't really needed anymore.

Oddly Tapatalk just worked here for me.

I would use the reg phone site, but that sucker is jumpy. Some threads it just deletes your post. Complete waste of time.

Hey! That's Anselmo! Glad he got out of the net of gunslinging, and now is gunslinging on the net!
And I was wondering what the hell was up.

Is it supposed to be disabled right now? I used tapatalk for this post, and it has worked all day.

I didn't say that we have a good IT department . . . just that the entire department is on the job.

Maybe that's the problem. :frust:
