I had a small music studio in my home, and mothballed it awhile back.

I've got a Yamaha keyboard I'll put out there for Christmas. PSR330, plus a pretty sturdy stand. It's in very good shape, not an embarrasment to give as a gift. Maybe a quick dusting is about all.

Obviously, this is a short fused PIF, with Christmas right around the corner.

I'll draw a name on Wednesday, you must pick up the following weekend in Puyallup.

Thanks.

That looks like a nice keyboard. I gave my nephews one several years ago. I think they are great gifts and great devices.

I'll sit this out.

I'll toss my hat in the ring on this one. Mt step-daughter used to play and has been hinting at getting back into it.

My 3 year old would love this. He plays with Grandma's all the time at her place. We've got another one on the way right after Christmas, so this would help grandparents entertain him while Mom and Dad are preoccupied.

In! (IF this would work as a substitute for a piano)

I just finished my first semester of music classes in college and will be enrolling in beginner Piano next semester.

I was kicking around the idea of getting a piano but a keyboard makes more sense.

Puyallup is no problem.

Not in.
The feel, weight, timing will be a bit different.
I Took 4 years of piano lessons, been playing awhile, and can play pretty much anything on a digital keyboard (similar to this) by ear after hearing it a few times.
But on an actual string piano, it's a bit different.
A lot easier to go from Piano to Keyboard, just takes a little while to get used to it rather from Keyboard to an unforgiving piano.

Coming from my wife, an 88 key snob, a 61 key machine is right out if you learned on a "real" piano.

Not in...but a neat keyboard! I turned away an opportunity to buy a DX7 some years ago and now kick myself. All that 1980s sound gear (Yamaha, Roland, etc) is in high demand right now.

Jaime just picked up the keyboard, so I'm going to lock this thread.

What a nice guy, great meeting you, Jaime!
