Congrats winners! (didn't even hit the top 10...) I guess I can put my threaded .22 on the back burner now...

I got off to a slow start, but got an order in for a Silencerco Spectre II just before the new rules took effect. We'll see how long it takes since my paperwork went to the BATFE during the rush.....
Now I need to get a threaded barrel for my Ruger 10/22, and I plan to pick up a Ruger 22/45 Lite. I have thousands of round of HV 22, but I need to start stocking up on subsonic ammo - hard to find deals on that these days.
Anyone already got their NFA item in hand?

I've found that the subsonic ammo is nice for the "cool factor" because it's so quiet. Impress yourself and your friends. So yeah, get some of it. But for daily shooting, regular .22 ammo operates the guns better and it's still quiet through the suppressor. And through the pistol, you'll get lower muzzle velocity anyhow so that "1250 fps" ammo (or whatever) that you have will likely be subsonic through the pistol. Bottom line: For me, subsonic ammo is cool and I have bought a little of it. However, I still stick to higher-velocity stuff for most of my shooting.

Yeah, I found out the hard way that the slowest of the "quiet" type ammo, down at like 710 fps, won't cycle the 10/22. I've seen some 9xx fps and 10xx fps stuff that I'll be trying to find. And I do have around 7k of the regular HV ammo, so no shortage of stuff to shoot. Just want the new toy to play with now! But it likely won't even be in my stocking for Christmas from some speculations....

After 11 1/2 months of waiting I have WaGuns to thank for help with finally getting my first suppressor! I already have about 300 rounds through it and can still push out the baffle stack without any problem at all. Best of all was the enjoyment my extended family got out of shooting it this past weekend. Everyone from my 7 & 9 yr old kids, to my 70-something mother, to visiting aunts and uncles from the east coast - everyone REALLY enjoyed shooting without hearing protection! Thanks again WaGuns!! Have any of the other winners posted pics yet?

Chip that extraordinarily cool. I am very curious if the gun will cycle with subsonic rounds?
