I was under the impression that pretty much all .22lr runs subsonic from a pistol length barrel.

Thanks guys! Just need to pick an optic now, wish I hadn't missed those $16 Bushnells last month....

A couple responses:

I don't think all 22lr stays subsonic in pistols, and I can tell you that there was a very noticeable difference in the "crack" between the subsonics and the mini mags I have tried in this gun.

So far I have had 3 feed failures with the subsonics and they were all within the first 200 rounds. I started with a few mags of the mini mag rounds, and then started with the subs. Had 3 problems and quit around 200 rounds. The next day I started by locking the bolt open for about 30 minutes before we shot, shot another 10 rounds of mini mags, and then ran through another 150 of subsonics. I didn't have any problems at all the second day, which is really cool. But I don't think I'll be trying the super slow 700 fps type ammo.

Next up will be putting a threaded barrel on my 10/22, and we'll see how that cycles with the subsonics! I know that won't cycle with the 700 fps ammo, tried it once.
