I'm in.
AK is better because of the other reasons mentioned but also because its so simple you can teach an illiterate person how to be reasonably proficient with it (and clean it) in about 30 minutes.

IN, AR, but that's because that's what I shoot and that's what the industry supports in supplies in my location. also, it's for riflemen, not conscripts. AND because of America, FUCK YEAH. Two infantry weapons that shouldn't even be compared anyways. Their intended functions give it away by the fire modes in the primary positions. More under the cut... - Spoiler: show
- ak created for conscripts
for infantry to support tank divisions in blitzkreig style warfare for cold war soviet military doctorine large tollerances to keep mud and debris from impacting reliability. lots of mud and adverse conditions created by the tanks and weather ak created as a full auto supression weapon, bridge the gap between semi auto and crew served weapon
ALL of these Philosophies are the entire converse of the AR
ar prevents material from coming into it with tolerances and features that seperate the trigger group and sealing the ejection port training points on use of ar are for standoff and precision fire, so forces employing the ar platform are trained, and not conscript human waves not intended for blitzkreig style warfare rifleman's rifle, not conscript army rifle
also, call this one early, it ends on my birthday so it's obvious I'm supposed to win ok

AK, because ammo is cheap.
AR, because ammo is everywhere.
