Hey everyone!
I've been a gunnie since I was old enough to buy my first rifle. Parents were always anti-gun but when I turned 18 I bought a shotgun and started down the rabbit hole. It lead me to work at gun shops and gun ranges to work my way through college. After college I had to move to the bay area to start my career, and I found myself in the heart of the anti-gun idiocracy that is California. For the last couple years I've been laying low in the gun world. Luckily, my work acquired a company in Bellevue, and there's a position available in that office that I've been offered, and the thought of moving out of CA and into what is essentially a free-state has rekindled my love of all things gun related. Looking forward to finishing a few builds, and buying some of the things that I've always wanted, but would never be available to me here.
I used to be extremely active on Calguns.net(same username), made some friends, learned some things, shared some knowledge. Hoping that I can find a "home" here as I make the transition to Washington, learn where the good ranges are, where the local IDPA/IPSC, 3-gun and long-range matches are held, and make some new friends along the way.

Welcome! I too escaped from the People's Republic of Dumphuckistan formerly known as California. I am returning to Wa after a 16 year absence. Bullet button removed: check Standard cap magazines acquired: check Concealed carry permit: check Actively involved keeping California type gun control out of Wa: check No state tax It was like giving myself a pay raise I still post on Calguns as we should support the fight and discourage that type of legislation making it north.

Realized I wasn't subscribed to this thread. Thanks for all the welcomes, and I see a lot of you are fellow refugees from CA.
I too am still active on Calguns, but looking forward to finding a new group of shooting buddies and trying out some the the action pistol sports

Yea a lot of us are from there. I left at the age of 18. I've been back 8 times since then to see family. It will be 9 years this summer since I left that shithole. I grew up in the salinas valley
