Haven't done any shooting here yet. I'm researching some nearby forest lands that are legal to shoot on. Can anybody recommend some resources to help me find some public shooting land?
First off, Welcome to the mad house. Really this is a very active and good site!.
Running off to the forrest is a bit of a challenge though there are a few places. Most require a decent drive from where you are. There are several pretty good ranges in your area. One on Ebey island that is open usually only during the summer. The other one where I am the web master is open year around.
Pistol area, rifle from 25 to 200 yard for members, shotgun, archery in Lake Stevens which is not too far for you. Similar range in Marysville.
There are also some pretty good indoor ranges.
Send me a PM if you would like to get access to some of the ranges to test/try/look around etc... I am a member at several.
Alterenately there is a map with shooting info. Can never remember where the thing is usually takes 20 minutes of searching around the site to find it again! but if you are looking for shooting places that is a good place to start. Most range membership fess are fairly reasonable around here.
Anyway welcome to WAGuns and message me if you want an intro to a few of the ranges local to you.
