I figured since I've talked to a bunch of people on another thread anyways, I better introduce myself.
I'm 20 years old, originally from California but I moved here as soon as I left my parents house at 17. I'm a professional diesel technician for a semi truck dealership. I've been handling firearms my whole life, was taught to shoot by my uncle when I was like 7 or 8 who is a firearms safety instructor.
I joined to get some insight into what weapon I should be picking up for my first pistol. I've shot plenty but never purchased a pistol to fit my needs and my hands. Y'all seem pretty cool though, I might just stick around for a bit!
As far as my firearms go: When my father (now 63) was 14 he purchased an ithica model 49, I inherited that at 14. I've also got a Ruger 10-22.
At this time those are my only weapons, and with limited space I won't get many more long barreled weapons anytime soon.

Welcome to Washington and Tacoma! Waguns is a great local community to get into up here. Also, if you're an outdoorsy kinda guy, or want to be. Check out Pierce County's volunteer search and rescue program. I'm a member of PCESAR, the ground pounders. It's challenging, fun, and you get to meet lot's of people that like to hike. The website is PCESAR.org if you're curious, or drop me a PM. We're always looking for new members, and it's a great way to get to know the area.

Welcome to WaGuns! You don't have to be 21 to go to a real range and handle a handgun, just go to a range that's outdoors, like Tacoma Sportsman's or Evergreen Sportsman's club.

You should arrange to meet with some of us at a local range, or Capitol forest, to try out various different weapons. We have group shoots from time to time, keep an eye on the events section.

Id definitely like to meet with some forum members and hit a range. I'll watch the events section, thanks! Sent from my Z812 using Tapatalk

Welcome!
No need to rent guns with all of us here. Just need to plan a get together.
I like to talk big rigs too. I've got a Peterbilt 379.

Sent from my Z812 using Tapatalk That's cool but I think my truck predates any of your certifications. It's an '89 with a cummins 444xt. I'm a little bit like Indiana Jones working on it. Lots of crawling around in dark recesses with booby traps and dealing with ignorant natives that don't speak the language.
