Hello all,
I am a newbie living in Bellevue.
Found this site while doing some online research about e-filing form 1 for SBRs. Realized the current situation and started digging deeper and deeper. Really appreciate the work that other members have put in to getting this situation corrected.
I am impressed with this forum, and will likely get sucked into getting involved quickly.
Thanks, boomer

Welcome, boomer. Are you going to submit a Form 1? Are we talking SBR or suppressor?

SBR, I have a CZ Scorpio EVO 3 and would like to put a collapsible stock on it. I was going to efile a Form 1 today, printed out a copy of the old form in order to gather all of the requisite info for completion of the efile Form 1.
It was only after doing some further research this morning did I find out about the mess created by that "wonderful" 594 that was passed the the WA legislature last year(?). I hadn't realized it also affected SBRs and suppressors. I thought the BS of the onerous background checks provisions was bad enough. I am of the opinion that rather than enact laws that further encroach on 2A, the then-current laws needed to be properly enforced.
After reading some of the great relevant threads and hard work from dogfish and the others, I felt compelled to join the forum. We have a family trust in place. In March, I initiated several Form 3 suppressor transfers that are now in the pipeline, hoping to get the Form 4s submitted prior to the July implementation of 41-F. It was only after reading the relevant threads from dogfish and others today, did I realize that my suppressor applications are also likely being held in limbo by BATFE, pending the June enactment of the 594 clarification laws.
So, as a consequence, I am holding off efiling the Form 1 for the SBR, now wondering about my impending Form 3 & 4 suppressor purchases.
This forum seems like a good place to become involved and informed.

I thought the "made SBR" snafu was due to omission of some language from the original SBR bill? What is the 594 overlap?

Thanks for the explanation, boomer. It sounds like you've got some nice toys in the works. A couple of points of clarification: - The current issue with SBRs is not related to 594. SBRs became legal two(?) years ago in Washington, and that bill had some errors which have been corrected now, effective in June. - Suppressor purchases are not affected by this, and are proceeding normally. 594 is a piece of shit for sure, but doesn't have anything to do with the issues above.

Hey MadPick, Thanks for the clarification points. So, as it looks like now soon I have, or will have, a couple of irons in the BATFE "fire" (limbo); - I will likely be e-filing a Form 1 for my CZ SBR on 10 June, for our trust. I just received the 922R parts and Folding Stock Kit from CZ Custom Shop, and some other goodies. Last night I did a partial disassembly, clean, lube of a new CZ Scorpion. As soon as more of the goodies arrive, I will install. and take it to the range. Of course, holding off on the folding stock until I am in receipt of the approved Form 1. Suspect approval may delayed due to the likely deluge of Form 1 e-filings after 9 June. ~ I have a couple of suppressors that I purchased, for our trust, from an out of state dealer this past March, still awaiting Form 3 transfer approvals. Hope to be informed about progress on them soon, so that I can submit the Form 4 before 41-F becomes effective on 13 July 2016. Of course, then is likely when the protracted patience-building period begins..... Not really sure how I ended up dealing with the BATFE so much this year. It is just going to take some time and and money to paying for the tax stamps. I wish that they were as plentiful as like the trading stamps of long ago. Oh well, it will give me plenty of time to check out the forum, and participate as I can. Of course, I am keeping an eye on the outcome of the November elections, wondering which numbskull will be elected. Thanks for the greetings.

Which suppressors did you buy?
I'm waiting on a Silencerco Hybrid and a Tactical Solutions Axiom right now.

Nice. I have an Octane 45 and I'm very happy with it. I used it today, in fact . . . .
