New to he the site and working on a few Form Ones! All advice is welcome. Especially on blast baffle size for a 10 inch .308 form one can.

Particulars, SDTA Ti 9.6 inch tube, Ti spacer tubing and 60* Ti cone baffles and Ti caps. Now, any thoughts on the spacing of each are more then welcome!

Thanks,
Boomer

Welcome to Washington.

There are a fair number of people on here, who can probably help you with your answer.
Just keep the faith and wait a couple of days.

I have one... 10" Ti build from SD.

I use one spacer for the blast area near muzzle and then just filled with baffles.

I'm not using mine for 30 caliber but I did register it as a 30. (so all the holes are for 30 caliber). I'm shooting .223

I have been playing with a spring as a spacer but I'm still in the testing phase...

There's real no answer or design out there listed for the 10" (9.6") tubes.

Make sure it's tight as hell... even with .223 it will loosen after 40 rounds (both baffles - spacing and end caps). I can't even imagine what a 30 caliber would do.

Yeah you see this name about anywhere and it is most likely me, I get around. Not quite as much as drew though.

Built a 8" Ti can in 9mm from info on that site that works awesome. Comparable DB to much more expensive "pro" can when tested on a bolt gun a few weeks back.

Next up is a 10" 30cal.

I'll throw my two cents in on the spring.

I cut it in half, which is about the length I wanted for that blast chamber area. It worked great at first, and I was very happy with it. After a while, since the spring doesn't sit completely flat on the end where you cut it, it started to cause the first baffle to rotate a bit (not stay perpendicular to the tube).

My suggestion is to either avoid the spring or use the full length of it, which should work better than just half.

I was wondering what you did...

I use the full length for the blast chamber but I have 9.6" (10" build) versus MadPicks 6" build - so I can understand why you cut it.

Are you using this spring with a direct thread end cap or will the SDTA muzzle break fit inside of it?
