The LC9s sounds like a good choice. I generally prefer striker fired for CC.

And the Shield is almost the same size....

Make sure you try out the Aussie Pie Shop once you move there.

Welcome I too am a comifornia transplant born in a little town north of the city called Healdsburg, grew up outside of Fresno but moved up here from east county San Diego. I don't miss ca at all other then family.

Sorry to hear about your anti friend and you have to worry about you friendship if he finds out you want to protect your life and his if needed.

Ha. My high school sweetheart lived in Lemon Grove. She and I used to go to the top of Mt. Helix and watch the submarine races together.

If there wasn't so much value in maintaining the relationship with my friend, I wouldn't care. But there is and I choose to respect that. It does limit my choices though.

If truth be told, I'm not nearly so concerned about my buddy as I am about his wife. If she became aware that I was carrying a firearm, she would freak out!

Just know in the area you are moving to if you vote for someone with a "D" they will be after your guns read up on I-594 and the Seattle gun tax.

Why Burien?

I found a house I could afford to buy. And it's only 10 minutes away from where my buddy lives in West Seattle.

Burien is one of Seattle area's best kept secrets. It's got small town feel but is under 15 minutes to downtown Seattle, easy access to West Seattle, and instant access to Email 5 South.

Be Leary of tattoo's guys in orange Avalanche's. Especially if they're with fat bald guys from South Park. Otherwise, it's a great area.

Yeah. First place I visited was another gun forum. They were talking about it over there so I did a little research. Makes me glad I didn't decide to buy a house in Seattle proper. I'll definitely keep an eye on it.

Don't move to Burien. You will regret it. But please do move to Washington.

I realize the crime rate in Burien is high overall, Jaime. But I think we're in one of the better parts of the city, at least I'm hoping that's the case. We've had tenants living in our home for almost three years now with only a couple of minor incidents to report, neither of which directly affected them or the property.

Is there anything else you feel I need to be aware of?

Stay away from Ambaum Blvd.

Thanks. I'm aware of Ambaum Blvd. and I will definitely heed your advice.

Maybe I just lived an extremely unsheltered life, but even the worst Burien has to offer is better than most of the neighborhoods I have lived in. Seattle in general is just not that scary.
