Well... not exactly, it's just that the people I work with think I must live in a compound as much I go shooting or hunting. :) Anyway, my neighbor told me about this site and thought I would check it out. I'm originally from North Carolina and moved to Carnation, Wa 7 years ago and have really enjoyed the "wildness" of the PNW.

I grew up hunting/shooting and was fortunate to have a dad and a couple of uncles that were NRA instructors. I recently got into reloading and wow, I never expected it to turn into an addiction (I haven't been able to find a support group yet) like it has!

I'm happily married to a very tolerant wife (she doesn't mind me bringing home a "harvest" as long she doesn't have to know about it) who doesn't understand how hunting (and shooting) can be a year round sport when the hunting seasons are only a couple of weeks long. I've tried explaining to no avail...

Glad to have found this site...

Great story and welcome to WaGuns! You will find a lot of other people who are members of RA as well (Reloaders Anonymous).

Sounds like we need to get together and go shooting sometime.

Hey T.A. we are planning a long ranch shoot some time around the first of the month, I believe the sunday the 1st of May. We have access to a private range out to 800 yards in Cle Elum. If you interested, let us know and Ill see if I can add you to the VIP list. We could all ride together.

^:)^ Most of the stuff I have isn't setup to shoot 800 yards but it doesn't hurt to try right? I would love to have the chance to shoot anything longer than the 150 or so yards I am used to. snipersmilie

This is set up from 100 yards to 400 yards, then at another location 600, 700 and 800 yards. So, there is a bit to choose from.

So, I thought about creating a username something like SickSaur or WinLester but honestly, I have a hard enough time trying to remember my real name as it is.

And yes, it'd be great to go shooting with you TA. We shoot at the snoqualmie valley range quite regularly.

I may be a bit excited to shoot longer ranges.

My wife, I, and a friend of ours just joined the SVRC a couple of months ago. It's a nice range, and we meet nice folks pretty much every time we go. It since not to have to drive 90 minutes to get to a pit to shoot. I figure with the price of diesel, I'm probably already in the black as far as dues go.
