David, welcome to WaGuns! We're glad to have you. Check out our NFA/Class 3 section. It is full of great info regarding suppressors. You can also fill out and print a form 1 to build your own suppressor by checking here: viewtopic.php?f=40&t=48

Thanks for the warm welcome. Building a suppressor sounds like an interesting challenge, however without a lathe I think I'll either buy one or wait for a build party.
