Just thought I would introduce myself. About two and half years ago, my family and I moved to the Seattle area for a job. We found a house in Carnation and fell in love with the PNW. I have had a long time passion for hunting and related activities but my job, lifestyle and living accomdations made it nearly impossible to take part. Since our move, I have developed the fever amazingly, with my wifes approval. She is born and bred city girl. (Hey got her out of the downtown Chicago skyline and to marry me) Over the past couple of years, my weapons list has quadrupled. Thats not saying much, I only had two to start. I know own an assortment of handguns, rifles, shotguns and compound bows. This year already have plans for, four hunts and maybe more. My kids are grown and in their 20s and my daughter is looking forward to a good hunt with her Dad this year. I couldnt be happier. My passion has always been my SigSaur and long range shooting. My Sig is a P226 Blackwater 9mm. My rifle a Tikka3 .300WSM. Love to shoot and working on a certification to be an instructor. (Have others but these are my goto guns) lastly, I also build, design and host websites on the side. Been doing so for the past 14 years. So, admins... if you need assistance I am well versed in phpbb. Have a couple forums of my own that I manage.

Welcome to WGO and great intro. If I would have read this before I replied to your PM I could have left out that last part!

I know how you feel about the gun bug . . . my own collection has grown rather significantly in the last few years as well.

We decided that the 6 pack they offer about every six months was a better deal. We are down to our last Lou's pizza, so hell yea! Send it my way.

Or was it just what you had to do in order to get the certification? And what do you plan to do (if anything) with the certification? I've been pondering the idea myself....

I figured if i was going to continue to teach, I should make sure I was teaching with credentials and the right info. Turned out, I was teaching correctly. My only failure was in grip (I am a cup and saucer guy). My first thought about the class was wait and see. After taking the class I think I am going to continue to pursue other disciplines as well as other teaching certs. If nothing else, it adds to my background of knowledge.

Great answer! Thank you for sharing. I've been doing the family and friends thing too, which is why I've been thinking about it.
