Howdy, folks. My firearms experience comes in two parts:
1) I grew up on a farm with a pellet gun, a .22 rifle and a .410 single-shot shotgun. I put holes in everything I could find, and generally acted safely if a bit irresponsibly....
2) Then, about twenty gun-free years later, I picked up the hobby. That was about three years ago, and I now have a modest collection that keeps me entertained. I have a good mixture of modern firearms as well as milsurps that date back to 1890.
This hobby has consumed my freaking life the past couple of years . . . the buying, the shooting, the learning, the reloading and -- most of all -- the FORUMS! I have learned an incredible amount from online forums; I'm active on several national boards, and on several local ones as well. I have seen what works well, and perhaps more importantly what does NOT work well.
My hope is that we can all take the best of existing forums, plus push the envelope even further, and make WaGuns.org a true "community" that we can all enjoy, learn from, and use to make new friends. A big part of this will be getting together, face-to-face, and meeting the people that we know online.
I'm excited about this experience, and hopefully we'll be able to look back in the years to come and say, "Hey, do you remember the first day of WaGuns.org when we only had 60 members? Wow! We've come so far!".
Welcome to all of you who have joined us.
