Can't say right now but once the case unfolds I will post an update.

One thing that my wife and I need is an answer on, where were the dogs? We have two herding dogs that are not very nice to strangers and one absolutely hates men even if she knows them. Adult nephew had his thigh/knee chewed on and drew blood. The third dog is lab mix that barks at everything but does nothing aggressive. Draw your own conclusions to this debacle.

Somebody further abetted and locked the dogs away. Bastards!

I was thinking the dogs might have been in on it too...

Our aggressive dog will take your hand first then eat the bacon afterwards.

In all seriousness, she is extremely aggressive around men. Other than me, no man whether they are friend, family, or foe have been able to get close to her. She was adopted from the Animal Shelter and I'm sure there was some sort of trauma which caused this behavior. The only one she responds to is me. If I call her off, she will backoff. Not even my wife or kids can call her off. When we got home, she wasn't behaving normal and retreated to her "spot" in the house. It took several hours for her to snap out of it. My guess is the sitter locked her (and the other two dogs) up in the garage; she gets extremely frustrated when this happens and will bark non-stop, this allowed the sitter's "guests" free run of the place.

That's most likely what happened.

So he pawned a bow thinking it would easier than a gun. One clown is sort of thinking, the rest are idiots. Idiots talk. House back-stabber must know names of idiots, because she are one.

But nice beginning of the end. Thanks for posting all this.

Update - The thief who pawned the bow has admitted to stealing it. Based on the statement made by the thief, the house-sitter was present when the items were stolen. How much more he has admitted to I do not know. Lies, lies, and more lies; everything is unraveling.

They'll all snitch on each other and one will get a reduced charge for more cooperation.
Probably get most of your stuff back.
Sounds like the story has a happy ending.

I think this guy knows he's going down and is deciding he's not going down alone.

On a side note, Talked to an ATF Agent and he stated there are no forms for lost or stolen NFA items from a non-FFL/SOT. He had me write a short statement on what happened, listed the items/serial#s, case#, signed it and sent it back to him via email. He mentioned the items will go into NICS as lost/stolen. If/when the items are recovered I can contact the NFA Branch to get them removed from lost/stolen status.

Good info about NFA items. Thanks for sharing it and the story. Glad that things are starting to look up. Hopefully these thieves get what's coming to them.
