Try old logging hand saw blades or old sawmill circular saw blades - hard stuff, but flexible too.

May be ideal knife material with edge tempering for hardness ?

Think Japanese sword making, where they clay tempered blades to harden the edge, but preserved flexibility in the rest of the blade for durability.

I've seen lots of cool blade work come from those old blades....

Have you used the bending jig? Was it for a specific bend, or size of bend?

Your using MIG in spray mode, yes? Scratching my head about the porosity. What is your CFM gas setting? Also, 75/25 mix?

No specific use yet, just made it. I've seen them used by my instructor (youtube). That shitty weld was TIG. I do think I solved some of the porosity issue, the welder points at my table and every time the fan kicked on, my welds looked shitty. I now have a deflector in front of the fan.

Also look at how far out your electrode is

Should it be close? I've seen mixed info on that.

oly your tip should be about 1/4 out from the shielding cup, holding it at a 70' as you go. push it rather than pull as you weld
