Thanks for taking us all down that road. Very impressive!!! I'd love to be able to do that someday. Simply watch these videos, get a few tools together and start making knives. That is what I did. It really is not that hard. I would like to give credit to these three knife makers for making these very informative and easy to follow videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwxRqn-NAl8https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_jMNsjVc-shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5Lm7acG3k0

Excellent work Sir! This thread got me looking into fixed blade outdoor camping blades, I went to benchmade and spent some cash on their Bushcrafter https://www.amazon.com/Benchmade-BN162_ ... B00PX85AHWWhat type of fire steel do you recommend / use? I never used one.

get a ferrocerium rod blank and glue on your own handle. The bigger the better on the rod blank.

I've started a new one. I'll be posting some photos here. I started with a 3/4" steel cable, hammered it into a flatbar and cut out a blank.

That knife was only your 5th attempt You have some serious skills, that was a beautiful job. The sheath was equally well done, I think you could make money at this hobby of yours.
