How would you go to finish this drywall? The raw mud is exposed. Was thinking of using a paintable caulk to just seal the edge to the trim in the bottom picture and using the primer spackle in the first picture and re-prime and paint, but open to suggestions if someone knows how to finish this better.

Hired someone to add a skim coat of drywall in the basement and paint. They left the tape on and left, saying that the paint should dry (which i know is wrong, but wasn't home). Turns out they had the painters tape buried in the drywall at some portions, and its bubble city elsewhere. wish I used the other drywaller.

lightly sand that blemish., skim a coat of dry wall let it dry. do this 2-3 times then lightly sand. you may have to layer another coat of drywall.

thanks. The good thing is the second area is just a thin strip so not a very large portion.
