I'm making a separate thread for this so it doesn't get lost in the other chatter.

When you arrive at the New Years shoot, please do the following:

1) Go to the Self Check-In station.

This is new this year. At the self check-in station, please have everyone in your party:
- Sign the range waiver.
- Take a raffle ticket. Keep half of the ticket, and leave the other half in the container.
- Find and take your name tag, if one was made for you.

2) Put any raffle items that you brought in the designated area.

These are items that we will be giving away by a random drawing. Please bring items that you think will be of interest to others, no matter what it might be!

3) Put any "free shit" that you brought in the designated area.

We'll have a separate area for things that are, well, perhaps less interesting and less valuable than the raffle items. Stickers and patches, random gun parts, knick-knacks, whatever . . . things that you think someone out there might want.

4) Take any "free shit" that you want from the designated area!

The "free shit" box is a free-for-all, unrelated to the raffle. If you see something you want, please take it! Don't be shy, don't be like "oh, I'll leave it for someone who needs it more than I do," or anything like that . . . just TAKE IT. :thumbsup2:

And then of course, please set up any food items that you brought, and proceed to have fun!

Also, please remember some of the basic rules of gun handling while you're there, including:

- When the range is cold, DO NOT TOUCH ANY GUNS. This also means that you can't uncase any guns during a cold range!
- Case and uncase your guns AT THE BENCH, WITH THE MUZZLE POINTING DOWNRANGE. Do not case/uncase behind the line, and muzzle sweep others . . . even if you "know" it's unloaded.

Thank you!

No, but when it's a cold range we'll need actions open and detachable magazines removed.

Chamber flags are not required, but they are much appreciated by the RSOs. When the range is cold, the RSOs will require:
- Absolutely no handling of weapons, period.
- weapons on the table, oriented down range, or rifles in the rifle racks.
- mags out, chambers visibly clear.
- saftey’s on if applicable.
- everything that Madpick said.
The RSOs will have a full safety brief before we get started.
