At least it was one shot, one hit :)

Was it?

Watching Dan's video in the other thread, the Tannerite on the right side blew first. I'm guessing that PinSniper was shooting at the left one . . .?

I thought I heard one shot then boom, then another shot then boom. I could be wrong.

I think PinSniper was at the far right table, shooting at the right target. He shot, BOOM, right tannerite poofs. Then, somebody MISSES the left tannerite, then BOOM, left tannerite poofs.

It was too close to the tannerite, you are giving him way too much credit.

I know that one of my guests hit the left one with his first shot to set it off. He was going to be walking home if he missed.

It's true, I heard that threat myself. icon_eek

Would've enjoyed staying longer, but still recovering and didn't bring enough of the good ammo for my 357 lever gun, started using my pistol ammo and she doesn't like the shorter 125gr rounds.
Good to see some people again!

Wandering the racks of rifles and a couple things crossed my mind. One, I haven't shot a AR platform, or own one, since 1990. Growing up I shot all the time and could never get passed the idea that I was carrying a rifle that launched a round a bit bigger than a 22 mag I shot growing up. Never owned a rifle under 308 until I picked up a SKS back in the early nineties, that hasn't been shot since the day I bought it.
An lastly, I'd die getting tangled up in the brush hauling one of those things around hunting with all the crevices, attachments and holes all over them.
But alas, this morning I started looking at Para Ordinance P300 300 WinMag with 18.5" barrel an all those crevices and crannies to snag up in the brush to puss me off. Toss a set of open sights on it an wrap it up canvas to limit hooking on branches and I'm set.
Now it's just pulling some OT, never sell a gun to buy another, and find a good explanation for the $3500 new toy to the boss.

Go big or go home, Glenn! :ROFLMAO:

P.S. That's Patriot Ordnance . . . not Para.

I didn't do a lot of shooting yesterday, but I want to call out a few guns that I particularly liked:

1) Sinus211's PTR-91 SBR. This thing is an absolute nightmare if you're standing next to it, and I hate that about it . . . but from a shooter's perspective, I was really impressed. It didn't have nearly as much recoil as I expected from a small .308, and I easily popped the steel target at 100 yards with both of my shots. It was much more manageable and fun to shoot than I expected it to be. :thumbsup2:

2) Ops' Sig Legion. I don't speak Sig like Ops does, so I can't even tell you any more about it other than it was a 9mm . . . but that trigger was SWEET and it was a very easy pistol to shoot.

3) Ops' S&W M&P 2.0 9mm Compact. I've never been too much of a fan of the M&P pistols, but this one felt good. The trigger was quite good (not GREAT, but good, and a heck of a lot better than the old triggers), and the gun felt good in the hand.

Thanks to everyone who shared guns with others yesterday . . . that's a big part of what makes this shoot so much fun!

Just in case anyone's wondering (EG: Dan, Steve, or Dana), I finally found that errant 1911 magazine this afternoon while cleaning my guns. It was buried in the bottom of our range bag. Neither one of us remembers putting it there, but there it was. I basically emptied the bag looking for it (and the bottle of CLP that was also on the bottom of the bag).

Also, someone shot at the first tannerite when the countdown was at 2! I didn't realize premature detonation was a problem with this group, but now I have confirmation that it is.

Ah, so it's your guest that has a problem with premature detonation.

I would have sworn I hit it first shot with my savage also.

The premature detonation happened on the right exploder, not the left, but nice try.
