Can anyone give me the Cliff Notes version of the legality of hunting deer with a bow in unincorporated areas of Thurston county, or even places technically within city limits? The area I recently left in Kansas had an "urban hunting" program because of an over abundance of whitetail deer. The biggest buck I can remember seeing I spotted standing in the middle of the road in the Hawks Prarie area north of I-5 in Lacey, and deer frequent my property in East Oly. I haven't seen any bucks out there, but assume during the rut they might be drawn out.

663 is any deer for bow. As long as you are in the county and have legal access to the property you should be fine to hunt with your bow. Every city has their own interpretation on what is legal, and what isn't, so stay in the unincorporated areas to avoid stepping on your dick. http://www.co.thurston.wa.us/sheriff/do ... 090818.pdf This refers to firearms, not bows.

666 is also any deer, which would cover the Hawk's Prairie area.

Call the county up but n rural king county you need to be like 300 feet from a house or road or body of water to discharge a firearm.
