The large one was a female, and the meat looked really good. When you fish 'em this late in the season you're just looking for good smoker fish. They're no good for the BBQ. They do put up a damn good fight though. Edit: They look worse in the picture than they actually were. Lots of green and red. We saw some bright red ones jumping. There's no silver left this late in the season. If they're black they're too far gone and we just set 'em free. Gotta love late season river fishin'. |
