I hate hunting on public land! Perhaps 'Late season' will be better.

That's too bad. Anyone else? The General Deer season wrapped up tonight, any late entrants?

I bailed on opening wknd due to weather forecasters end of world prediction..
So went out on second wknd, ran into Elk at every spot we looked for deer. Of course don't want to pollute the areas prior to Elk opener this coming wknd, so would back out of the areas quickly.
By Sunday morning of elk at every single area trying deer, decided to bag deer an chase grouse road hunting instead, scored a couple.

Good to see the ol' 32WinSpl still taking game. :thumbsup2:
I hunted with mine my first two seasons. But never got a deer with it.

Edit: Never got the opportunity to take a deer.

Of course! But not until the dry season. Maybe I'll start a haberdashery.

Forgot to send out an honorable mention for your Blaze Orange rastacap. Where on earth did you find that?

I shot this one last friday. Decent size body, should fill my freezer nicely. All the practice at long range shooting and this guy popped up at 50 feet away, near sundown while I was making my way back to my truck. It dropped on the old service road I was walking out on, 20 feet from me. Solo hunt, so no pictures with me in it.

Exactly! I like to think the wilderness was paying me back some good karma...... Or just damn good luck. Either way, after too many years of not getting a tag punched, I ended this season happy.
