I've heard that Ricardo's is good.

Italian is actually pretty easy to do from home, and it can go in so many different directions. I would recommend learning how to make your own pasta. From there the possibilities are endless.

Ricardo's isn't really Italian, it's more of a good steakhouse with some italian flare.

It is my understanding Ricardo studied under Eugenio owner of Trinacria who recently retired and closed his restaurant. He has some items on his menu as a tribute; Pasta Eugenio for example. Great steakhouse though :thumbsup2:

i know this isn't the area you're looking in, but this is the absolute best Italian place I've been to since moving here in 2012. The rabbit is amazing.

Bella Nina in Tacoma. It's not fancy by any stretch of the imagination and they don't make their own pasta it it's tasty. Marzanos is awesome, a chef there started a resteraunt in Puyallup that had fresh made pasta and sauces, it was fantastic but they closed down, I heard they were opening somewhere else though.

'Morning all... We made it to Pellegrino's this weekend, Saturday evening early... Seems like we hit it at a good time before the masses started coming in...Got a kick out of seeing the home-coming Royalty arrival!

Well, the food was ok, I had the Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken & mushrooms, (I think the chicken should be grilled, not just "cooked", but the portion was on the small side...

My friend had the Chicken Marsala and she really liked the taste, but again the serving was small, and they only put about 2 tablespoons of sauce on the fettuccini.. And the veggies on the side were not sautéed, just warmed up a bit...

I think they should offer Italian style breads instead of hard rolls, and no salads with the meals?!

Not sure if I'll head back there anytime soon, maybe for lunch sometime...
Heading to Seattle next week, UW area. Cantinetta's might be our next place to try...
