Nothing to do with sammiches, but front row at the Paramount watching The Cramps live was quite probably the best concert I have ever been to.

In MEXICO. Figures.
We just had some good Cubanos and a Pan con Lechon at a new place in SODO. It's just south enough that it actually has some parking. Used to be a food truck, now is brick & mortar, called Cafe con Leche.....
Though, one closer to Pablo would be Un Bien, run by the old owners of Paseo....but still a trek from his hood....

Yeah 7302.5 15th Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98117 is on my list of places on the other side of the Iron Curtain. NOT EXACTLY like the Cubano in Florida, but worthy of Mexican carry, wife driving car not in enviromode and ample use of turbo.

We got a Cuisinart Griddler as a wedding present over a decade ago, use it al the time. We get that torta bread from Costo, makes the best sandwiches. Problem with that bread is it goes bad so quickly so we have been slicing it thin and using it as toast. Damn it is tasty with some butter or jam too.
Nothing beats a tasty hot sandwich with quality ingredients.

You should try freezing some of it. Some bread freezes really well, some, not so much. I think it has a lot to do with fat content, and how well you package it to prevent freezer burn.

They are putting more water in it.
Bread is sold by weight.
Slice it and freeze it. It'll still be great as toast, or hot sammich material.

"The torta rolls can be frozen for later use. The packaging suggests freezing them in a sealed ziplock bag, and thawing them for 30-60 minutes at room temperature. Then bake at 425F for 3 to 5 minutes."

Well, I suppose the fact that they were very nice about it, and offered you your refund should earn them some small credit, even if they do make ass sandwiches.

The real question is why you were at whole paycheck?

The sandwich looked shitty through the glass, but still for $8 it HAS to be good!!
The price doesn't matter. It doesn't HAVE to be good, it should be.
