Any suggestions for a novice tea drinker?

I've replaced a lot of my soda with tea, but still working on recipes..

You got anything good?

Hot or cold.

Go to https://www.stashtea.com/
They have a lot of different type and blends of tea.
They also have sample packs, so you can see what you like.
They also have bag and loose leaf teas.
I am an avid tea drinker and this is my go to tea shop.
I like oolong, Earl Grey, mostly black teas.
Green tea tastes like alfalfa-haha

For iced tea I like the one that is luzianne, Lipton sucks. Mad hat in downtown Tacoma has some really bomb ass teas, the Chinese fermented ones that are pressed are awesome. I don't do hot tea

Red Zinger, when feeling sick add honey, lemon, and a shot of whiskey.

The MarketSpice Cinnamon-Orange. Sounds more like a fall tea, but when chilled and allowed to sit for bit, turns out sweet and citrus. Great for the summer.

The Stash double bergamot is my second favorite tea ("tea, Earl Grey, hot!"), followed closely by Bigelow Constant Comment.

My all time favorite is Boh, which you pretty much can't find in the US or Canada. It's grown in the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. We bring back bags & bags of it when we visit SE Asia. Since our last trip was two years ago, we're almost out. One of the giant bags has 90 individual tea bags in it, which lasts a bit less than three months. I opened the last bag we had a few weeks ago, so have to either plan a trip, or see if we can piggy back off of any of our friends going home to visit so we can stock up again.

Growing up, my mom always made Lipton iced tea in the summer, but reading her recipe these days makes my teeth ache from all the sugar she put in it. I make it occasionally these days, but I use 1/4 the amount of sugar in her recipe or less, or substitute with agave instead.

Try Irish breakfast with a little sugar cold. It's got a nice kick.

I do like the 'breakfast' teas.

Bergamot, (what they put in earl grey), tastes to me like pine sol.

If I wanted pine sol in my tea, I'd put it there myself. Yuck.
